Wealthramp Founder Pam Krueger Honored by NAPFA

2021 NAPFA Special Achievement Award Winner for Educating the Public on the Value of Fee-Only Financial Planning

San Francisco, Calif – Oct. 15, 2021 – Pam Krueger, Founder & CEO of Wealthramp, the only fiduciary advisor referral service that lets people control when and how they talk to their matched advisors, has been recognized by The National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA) as a winner of the 2021 Special Achievement Award for her advocacy for fee-only financial planning. The award is presented to non-members whose service greatly enhances the profession and helps educate consumers on the benefits of working with a highly qualified financial advisor.

“To be recognized with this honor from NAPFA, an association I deeply admire and respect, means that my message around the fiduciary standard and never settling for an advisor you don’t fully trust to act in your best interest is making an impact,” said Krueger. “I’m committed to continuing this work alongside NAPFA to help elevate our fee-only business model, and help as many people as possible find the right advisor.”

Pam has dedicated her life's work to educating the public about the importance and value of fee-only fiduciary advice and empowering people to put that knowledge into action. At Wealthramp, she has the privilege of connecting with consumers every day to help them set higher expectations around working with an advisor. Since 2019, Wealthramp has matched more than 10,000 people with the right financial advisor based on their financial priorities.

In addition, Pam is the creator and co-host of MoneyTrack, a weekly television show that helps consumers nearing retirement make the best financial decisions. It aired on 250+ public stations on PBS from 2005-2019 and was funded by the Investor Protection Trust. Today she continues this investor education and personal finance reporting for PBS Next Avenue on her podcast, “Friends Talk Money,” with Richard Eisenberg and Terry Savage.

Pam also approaches her advocacy work from within the industry. She is an active volunteer member of the Retirement Income Committee at the Defined Contribution Institutional Investment Association (DCIIA), a non-profit dedicated to enhancing the retirement security of America’s workers. In her role, she meets with plan sponsors and fund providers to improve outcomes for plan participants.

“All of this year’s award recipients have greatly contributed to NAPFA and the practice of financial planning,” said Geoffrey Brown, NAPFA’s Chief Executive Officer. “We appreciate their numerous contributions as well as the commitment and energy they put into the profession. Their leadership and education help build a community of fee-only financial planners who operate with the highest integrity and fiduciary principles, which are critical to best serving the public.”

Krueger joins a prestigious list of past award recipients, including John C. Bogle, HerMoney.com CEO & Co-founder Jean Chatzky, CNBC Senior Personal Finance Correspondent Sharon Epperson, CBS News Business Analyst and host of "Jill on Money” Jill Schlesinger, Michael C. Kitces, and others.
